Welcome to the twenty-fifth redesign of Magitek Designs! Orange and pink: yowza! Since Magitek Designs’ creation in 2001, I’ve been guilty of using a lot of nested tables. The coding backbone is pretty old-fashioned! This new site design uses XHTML Transitional, unlike my previous designs which did not use declared doctypes at all. I’ve been providing XHTML designs on Magitek Designs for a while now, so I figured it was time to rework the entire site and update it for 2009.
So! The new design is up, but I’m going through all of the PHP scripts I’ve written for the site to create semantic output instead of styled ugly tables. This is going to be a while so currently the code does not validate on most of the pages. Please bear with me as I convert the entire site over.
Additionally! Magitek Designs now has free WordPress themes! I’ve been getting emails for a while requesting this feature. For the most part, I will be doing general layouts featuring my own photography and illustrations. However, if you have any requests of XHTML or HTML web layouts that are on other sections of this site to be converted into WordPress themes, please let me know through the guestbook or through a blog comment There are currently three themes available. The display script for the WordPress section is fairly rudimentary at the moment, but I will be updating the output as I go through the rest of the website.
I’m extremely excited about the changes that Magitek Designs is going through at the moment. Thank you for visiting!
